“AE” automatic ball float type air release valve is manufactured from solid brass rods. The standard inlet connection is male BSPT screw. Other thread, eg., NPT is available on request.
The air release valve is generally installed in a Dry Riser System but it can also be use in wet systems such as Wet Riser, Automatic Sprinkler and Fire Hosereel Systems.
The maximum hydraulic test pressure is 300 PSI and recommended working pressure is 175 PSI.
OPERATION:
The automatic air release valve adopts a simple 'ball float' operation using a renewable hard rubber ball located at the upper valve chamber. Air in the pipework is released through the vent hole when it is initially charged up with water until water reaches the ball chamber. The rubber ball will be pushed upwards to the vent hole and seal it when the network of pipes are pressurised.
No maintenance is required but if any small debris are trapped at the upper valve chamber, these should be removed by opening the cap at the top.
MATERIAL:
Brass but stainless steel 304 or 316 (for marine and corrosive environment) are available on request only and subject to a minimum order quantity,
* 50mm air release valve is supplied on indent basis and subject to a minimum order quantity
